Obituary for Rosemary G. Arbogast

Rosemary G. Arbogast, 70, of Indiana Ave Stonewood, WV, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 at River Oaks. She was born in Shinnston on March 5, 1947 a daughter of the late Offie Ruck Heater and Nellie Blanche (Bennell) Heater. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Arbogast on October 26, 1989.

Rosemary is survived by four children: Herbert Lee Arbogast Jr. and wife Alice of Barbour County, Starr Simms of Ohio, James Arbogast and wife Sherry of Stonewood, and Jody Arbogast and wife Kay of Barbour County; five siblings: Ruck Heater of Lumbeport, Roy Heater of Shinnston, Geneva Lemasters of Shinnston, Patty Layfield of Lumberport, and Juanita DeBerry of Meadowbrook; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and one special granddaughter Contessa Frame. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Arbogast was preceded in death by one daughter, Venus Blanche Chandler; and four siblings: Roger Heater, Russell Heater, Linda Reilly, and Dottie Long.

Rosemary was Baptist by faith and a homemaker. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and going to the Sage Brush Round-Up. Rosemary was the last of her circle of friends “The Golden Girls,” they liked getting dressed up and going out together. She was a good mother and a wonderful grandmother, who loved her family dearly.

Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV, on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 4 until 8pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the funeral home at 11am with Rev. Joel Randolph presiding. Interment will follow at Stonewall Park Cemetery.
