Edwin C. Korth Jr., 81, of West Milford, WV, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at River Oaks in Clarksburg. He was born in Goshen, NY on November 17, 1935, a son of the late Edwin Carl Korth Sr. and Florence (Keen) Korth. Mr. Korth is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathleen (Nachbar) Korth.
In addition to his wife Edwin is survived by three daughters: Theresa Hertzog and husband Wayne of Shinnston, Dawn Korth and fiancé Charles Childers of West Milford, and Florence Heine and husband Harold of West Milford; three sisters: Violet Yuzeski of Goshen, NY, Judy Valentine of Orlando, FL, and Katie Hopper and husband Pete of Sardis; and eight grandchildren: Jordana Burns, Carl Burns, Makinzie Grady, Thomas Grady, Daniel Timm Jr., Matthew Hertzog, Kaylee Johnson, and Jaylyn Korth. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents Mr. Korth was preceded in death by one daughter, Lorraine Grady; and four brothers: Martin, Dave, Russel, and baby James.
Edwin served his country honorably in the United States Army and was an automotive mechanic by trade working in New York and then with Clarksburg Country Club. He loved working on cars, especially the old ones. Edwin also enjoyed hunting, fishing, telling stories, and watching old westerns. He loved being out in the woods whether it was for hunting or just taking walks. Edwin loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV, on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 4 until 8pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Lost Creek Seventh Day Baptist Church Cemetery.
