Alva A. “Al” Glover Jr., 82, of Anmoore, WV, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at home. He was born in Allegheny County, PA on September 12, 1935 a son of the late Alva A. Glover Sr. and Velma Riggs Glover.
Mr. Glover is survived by sons: Alva “Dusty” Glover III and fiancé Donna Moody whom he made his home with, step-son Shane McIe of Mt. Clare, step-son Kirk McIe of Mt. Clare, step-son Doug McIe of Webster Springs, step-son Rodney McIe of Jarvisville, step-son Eric McIe of Clarksburg, and Bill Glover of NC; one sister, Vera Llanes of Clarksburg; his former wife Dixie Lee Stemple of Clarksburg; 19 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Al was preceded in death by two step-sons: Gary and Robbie McIe; three brothers: Patsy, Bill, and Bob Glover; and one grandson Gary McIe.
Al served his country in the United States Marines and later worked as a welder and steel worker, most recently for Clarksburg Iron and Steel. He loved watching baseball and was a huge Pirates fan. Al also enjoyed spending time with his family, his dogs “Liela and Bucket,” and watching westerns or news programs on tv.
